Indiana University Bloomington is seeking an Onsite Support specialist within Executive and Internal Technology Support (EITS). This role provides white-glove IT support to executives, configures devices, and supports executive meetings, both onsite and remote.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, demonstrates strong communication, professionalism, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

About EITS

EITS provides 24/7/365 IT support across IU campuses, specifically for high-profile executives and their teams, including:

  • The President, Executive Vice Presidents, and Vice Presidents
  • University General Counsel
  • Office of the IU Indianapolis Chancellor
  • IU Board of Trustees

Additionally, we offer comprehensive technical support for internal UITS staff at Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) and Indiana University Indianapolis (IUI).

Department Specific Responsibilities
  • Provides white-glove IT support to executives, senior leadership, and VIP users.
  • Configures, deploys, maintains, and replaces executive computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Provide onsite and remote support for executive meetings, presentations, and events.
General Responsibilities
  • Provides technical consulting, advising, and systems analysis services for client-supported software and systems.
  • Utilizing system analysis techniques and procedures, conducts research and evaluates use of existing technology solutions and their future releases, new product releases of client software, and emerging technologies, applications, and industry trends.
  • Provides advice for best practices of deployment of collaboration solutions; partners with appropriate technical staff on unique problems requiring specialized knowledge.
  • Stays up-to-date on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices; makes recommendations to improve IT support processes and procedures.
  • Communicates effectively with clients in resolving escalated issues.
  • May provide informal and formal training to faculty staff and students on information technology.
  • Adheres to documentation standards (issues, resolutions, updates/changes).

EDUCATION
Required
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in computer science or related field.)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
  • Some experience providing technical computing support to users via direct consultation, development and delivery of computing education, writing user documentation, or related experience.

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and to operate computers and other related technical equipment. The role is required to maintain and interact with computers and frequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule (mix between 1 remote workday and 4 in-person workdays), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.

$55,160.00 annually
