Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington seeks an Onsite Support professional within Executive and Internal Technology Support (EITS) to deliver high-level IT support to executives and VIP users. You will configure and maintain executive devices and provide on-site and remote support for meetings, presentations, and events.

In this hybrid role, you will perform technical consulting, system analysis, and collaborate with staff to implement best practices, while staying current with emerging technologies

Job Summary

Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Provides white-glove IT support to executives, seniorleadership, and VIP users.
  • Configures, deploys, maintains, and replaces executivecomputers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Provide onsite and remote support for executive meetings,presentations, and events.

General Responsibilities

  • Provides technical consulting, advising, and systems analysisservices for client-supported software and systems.
  • Utilizing system analysis techniques and procedures, conductsresearch and evaluates use of existing technology solutions andtheir future releases, new product releases of client software, andemerging technologies, applications, and industry trends.
  • Provides advice for best practices of deployment ofcollaboration solutions; partners with appropriate technical staffon unique problems requiring specialized knowledge.
  • Stays up-to-date on emerging technologies, trends, and bestpractices; makes recommendations to improve IT support processesand procedures.
  • Communicates effectively with clients in resolving escalatedissues.
  • May provide informal and formal training to faculty staff andstudents on information technology.
  • Adheres to documentation standards (issues, resolutions,updates/changes).

EDUCATION
Required
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in computer science or relatedfield.)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
  • Some experience providing technical computing support to usersvia direct consultation, development and delivery of computingeducation, writing user documentation, or related experience.

Working Conditions / Demands

This position requires the ability to communicate effectively andto operate computers and other related technical equipment. Therole is required to maintain and interact with computers andfrequently move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The person inthis role must be able to perform the essential functions with orwithout an accommodation.

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule (mix between 1remote workday and 4 in-person workdays), subject to change in thefuture based on university policy and business needs.

Advertised Salary

$55,160.00 annually
