Job summary

The MTA seeks an IT Transformation & Management Consulting leader focusing on Lean Six Sigma to drive major modernization programs in New York City. This hybrid role combines onsite collaboration at the MTA Headquarters with remote work across teams.

Required: 10+ years in business, prior management consulting, change management, and strong Excel/PowerPoint/Visio skills. Experience translating business needs into technology requirements and leading large IT transformation programs is essential.

Qualifications

• MBA preferred.
• LEAN certification / Six Sigma training or comparable required.
• Demonstrated analytical capabilities and quantitative skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels of a large organization.
• Experience with project management and work plan development.
• Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with leadership to develop, track/monitor, and implement transformational IT initiatives.
• Identify areas for IT process improvement and develop strategies to address them.
• Spearhead efforts to improve operational efficiency, including SOP reviews and risk assessments.
• Prepare and present business cases, findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Track departmental priorities and elevate issues to leadership as appropriate.
• Demonstrate hands-on involvement in large IT programs.
