Job summary

The AME Group provides managed IT services with a people-first culture in Baton Rouge, LA. We are seeking an IT Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for Windows-based systems, offering on-site and remote support to our clients.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in IT support, solid Windows knowledge, and familiarity with AD/DNS/DHCP. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of IT support or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows Server environments.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, switches, routers).
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Windows desktops, laptops, and servers.
• Perform routine maintenance including updates, patching, and system health checks.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, AD, and Microsoft 365 issues.
• Respond to support tickets and provide timely resolution to end-user issues.
• Install, configure, and deploy hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Document all service activity, solutions, and client interactions in the ticketing system.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding of users and devices.
• Support cybersecurity best practices including endpoint protection and patch management.
