Job summary

Quanta Manufacturing Fremont is seeking an IT technician to provide technical and administrative support for laptops and a range of application software. You will assist end users with connectivity and system issues, manage Windows workstation administration, and add new systems to the network and domain.

The role includes configuring permissions, troubleshooting hardware/software, and supporting printers and print servers on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a client/server environment is required.
• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Windows XP, 7, 8.1, 10.
• Experience with NTFS shares and permissions.
• Experience with Ethernet and fiber cabling.
• Experience with Active Directory.
• Experience with secure wireless networks.
• Understanding of TCP/IP.
• Experience with laser jet and zebra printers in a shop floor environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide laptop administration support to end users.
• Perform workstation Windows Systems Administration for all platforms.
• Add new systems to the network and domain, including OS, apps, configurations.
• Set file and folder permissions.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software failures and network connectivity issues.
