The Information Technology Technician I is a student worker role within the University Technology Services (UTS) Learning Technologies team. This position supports a technical area and provides an opportunity for students to gain experience in IT operations, documentation, and process improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide Villanova faculty, staff, and students with Learning Management System (Blackboard and Brightspace) support and other Villanova‑supported learning technologies support (e.g., Zoom, Respondus, VoiceThread, etc.)
• Assist with UTS Learning Technologies answering and completing service requests from Villanova faculty, students, and staff
• Assist UTS Learning Technologies staff with projects as needed
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation and assist in process improvement projects
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

Training for all responsibilities will be provided.

Preferred Candidates Will Possess the Following Skills

• A commitment to excellent customer service
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Comfortable with technology and ability to troubleshoot in Windows, MAC OS, as well as mobile environments
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Blackboard or Brightspace) and video conferencing technology (Zoom)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Dependable once shifts/hours are agreed upon
