Job summary

Town of Los Gatos is seeking an IT Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade hardware, software, networks, and Town-wide email systems; train users; provide staff support; and report to the IT Director. This position is on-site only and represented by TEA.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong customer service, clear communication, and problem-solving abilities, with experience in LAN/WAN, servers, firewalls, and peripherals. Eligibility to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to train users and support staff in applications.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade hardware, software, and networks.
• Provide user training and assistance on Town systems and email.
• Assist in procurement and deployment of hardware, software and security appliances.
• Support critical systems including public safety, financial management, GIS and document management.
