Job summary

Palmetto Rural Telephone Cooperative is seeking an IT Technician to support internal staff, repair community PCs, and assist enterprise customers as needed. The role installs, diagnoses, and maintains computers and mobile devices, with a focus on end-user support and timely problem resolution.

The position involves in-shop repairs and occasional on-site visits to member homes or local businesses, under the guidance of the IT Manager, with growing responsibilities as skills develop.

Qualifications

• Windows OS knowledge and PC hardware basics required.
• Familiarity with networking concepts like IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi.
• Experience with end-user support and basic IT ticketing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and provision computers and mobile devices.
• Provide internal end-user support and assist with residential PC repair.
• Perform in-shop repairs with occasional on-site visits to member homes or businesses.
• Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager as needed.
