Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is hiring Desktop Technicians to support a Windows 11 upgrade and hardware refresh across healthcare locations in the Gadsden area. This is a hands-on deployment role.

Location: Gadsden, AL (Multiple Onsite Locations)

Type: Contract (W2)

Duration: 3-6 Months with Potential Extensions

Pay: $28-$31/hr, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Standard Business Hours

We're hiring Desktop Technicians to support a large Windows 11 upgrade and hardware refresh initiative across multiple healthcare locations in the Gadsden area.

This is a hands-on deployment role where you'll be responsible for preparing devices, performing upgrades, setting up new equipment, and making sure end users are ready to go. The project is expected to run several months and may be extended based on workload and project timelines.

We're looking for technicians who are comfortable working directly with users, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and moving efficiently through deployment schedules.

What You'll Be Doing

• Image and configure new laptops and desktops

• Ability to troubleshoot endpoint hardware and software issues
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working onsite throughout the duration of the project
• Ability to work independently while following established deployment processes
