Job summary

Codexis is seeking a Systems Support Administrator to serve as the primary IT contact, supporting Windows, Microsoft 365, and cloud apps for employees and lab teams. You will troubleshoot end-user and lab computing issues and help maintain IT infrastructure while collaborating with senior engineers on more complex problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
• 2-3 years of hands-on IT support experience or equivalent.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) for end users.
• Experience imaging, deploying, and replacing Windows computers, including user data migration.
• Experience creating and managing user accounts, groups, and password resets in Active Directory or the Microsoft 365 admin center.
• Experience troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, and VPN connectivity issues.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting local and network printers.
• Experience working a ticket queue and documenting resolutions in a ticketing system.
• Experience supporting non-technical users by phone, chat, and in person.
• Availability for occasional after‑hours or weekend work for maintenance windows and urgent issues.

Responsibilities

• End-User and Helpdesk Support: diagnose and resolve Tier 1-2 issues for Windows, mobile devices, MS 365, LAN/Wi‑Fi/VPN.
• Lab Computing Support: deploy/upgrade lab computers and printers with minimal downtime.
• Microsoft 365 and Cloud Administration: manage users, licenses, MFA, SharePoint, OneDrive; review phishing quarantines.
• Systems Administration: maintain Windows Server services, hybrid identity, file/print apps; escalate as needed.
• Asset Management and Documentation: maintain IT asset inventory; write knowledge base articles.
