Job summary

Codexis, Inc. is seeking a Systems Support Administrator to serve as the IT point of contact for employees and lab teams.

You will support Windows, Microsoft 365, and IT infrastructure, troubleshoot end‑user and lab computing issues, and help run day‑to‑day IT operations. You will manage onboarding/offboarding, imaging, device deployment, printer and conference room tech, and contribute to knowledge base updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, plus 2–3 years of hands-on IT support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive) for end users.
• Experience imaging, deploying, and replacing Windows computers, including user data migration.
• Experience creating and managing user accounts, groups, and password resets in Active Directory or the Microsoft 365 admin center.
• Experience troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, and VPN connectivity issues.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting local and network printers.
• Experience working a ticket queue and documenting resolutions in a ticketing system.
• Experience supporting non-technical users by phone, chat, and in person.
• Availability for occasional after-hours or weekend work for maintenance windows and urgent issues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary IT support contact, diagnosing and resolving Tier 1-2 issues for Windows devices, apps, and network connectivity.
• Onboard/offboard employees including accounts, licenses, and device provisioning.
• Plan and execute computer upgrades, data migration, and user handoff.
• Image and deploy Windows computers using Clonezilla; escalate complex imaging issues.
• Install and troubleshoot printers and conference room tech (Teams, recording).
• Maintain and update IT knowledge base and runbooks.
• Provide lab computing support and assist with instrument PC deployments.
