Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Technical Specialist to coordinate department technology, support planning, testing and implementation of IT resources. You will act as a liaison with internal and external IT teams and procurement to ensure timely delivery and effective use of technology to enhance patient care.

The role involves configuring department IT systems, overseeing hardware and software upgrades, and educating staff, students and volunteers on related protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
• Microsoft Windows certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in technical support or programming/systems experience in end user computing applications, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate department technology and participate in IT planning, purchasing, testing, and implementation.
• Liaise with internal and external IT and procurement teams for technical resources.
• Oversee hardware and software systems support and upgrades; anticipate future needs.
• Educate staff, students and volunteers on related protocols and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
