Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a skilled IT Technician to support a 300+ desktop network, manage Windows and Linux servers, and handle daily data backups. The role includes configuring desktops, deploying devices, and training end users.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; BS in CS preferred.
Two years of hands-on technical support experience preferred.
Certifications such as CompTIA Net+, MCSA, MCSE are desirable.

Responsibilities

Operate servers to include file/folder security setup and create user accounts.
Establish and modify network connectivity including VLANs and wireless.
Perform daily operations for data backups.
Configure, install, and deploy both wired and wireless devices.
Prepare instructional material for end users; provide training.
Punctuality and regular attendance are required.
Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety and confidentiality.
Meet or exceed performance expectations set by management.
Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the state.
Perform other duties as assigned.
