Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation seeks an IT Specialist to keep Bald Mountain’s users productive and site technology resilient. The role splits time between first-line and second-line support and owns core systems: Windows servers/Active Directory, IGA, Nutanix‑based virtualization and storage, Cisco switching and fiber, point‑to‑point and point-to‑multipoint wireless links, and Dell client endpoints.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT support/operations with customer service focus.
• Solid experience with Windows client/server, AD, DNS/DHCP, GPO, and endpoint management.
• Hands-on Cisco switching and fiber; familiarity with virtualization and enterprise storage (Nutanix).

Responsibilities

• Provide primary North America Service Desk support for Windows, O365, VPN and apps.
• Administer Windows Server/AD, DNS/DHCP, GPO, and patching.
• Manage Nutanix clusters and site NAS/SAN; coordinate upgrades.
• Maintain campus Ethernet, Cisco switching, VLANs, QoS, fiber documentation.
• Support wireless P2P/PMP backhaul and access links; design inputs and LOS checks.
• Imaging provisioning for Dell laptops/workstations; manage asset inventory.
• Travel to comm sites for on-site support; participate in after-hours rotation.
• Create training guides and knowledge base articles.
