Job summary

The City of Springdale, AR seeks an IT Support Specialist to install, configure and maintain its systems, hardware, software and related infrastructure. You will deliver second-level support, troubleshoot issues, and document resolutions for internal and external customers.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years in computer/network security or related fields, and at least 1 year of management experience; on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; minimum 3 years in computer and/or network security, AV equipment, applications and techniques.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Proficient with desktop hardware and software (Access points, printers, IP cameras, peripherals).

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class technical support through installation, configuration and maintenance of systems and infrastructure.
• Offer second-level support including trouble ticket issuance, troubleshooting and documentation.
• Monitor systems performance and implement changes to resolve problems and increase efficiency.
• Maintain network addressing, servers, domains and workstation identification; document systems.
• Install, configure and maintain third-party and in-house server applications; manage backups and recovery.
• Coordinate projects with internal resources and external vendors; handle on-call emergencies.
