Job summary

Statusphere, part of HearstLab, seeks its first dedicated IT hire to own and scale IT operations. You will build repeatable processes from scratch, manage MDM (Iru/Kandji) and SSO/MFA, and partner with HR, Finance, and Engineering to shape IT for growth.

You’ll lead day-to-day support, implement security trainings, runbooks, and onboarding/offboarding, while maintaining hardware inventory and SaaS licenses for a distributed US team.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in IT support or systems administration, startup/SMB experience preferred.
• Experience as sole or lead IT person, building IT processes from scratch.
• Hands-on with an MDM platform (Iru/Kandji, Jamf, Intune) and Google Workspace administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support across the organization, troubleshooting hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues.
• Own and configure MDM platforms and device baselines; manage BYOD and conditional access policies.
• Administer SSO, MFA, 1Password; manage access reviews and production AWS/application access.
• Identify repetitive work and automate with n8n, Google Workspace tooling, and IT runbooks.
• Lead onboarding/offboarding, device provisioning, and hardware/SaaS inventory; maintain IT policies.
