Job summary

Statusphere Inc. is seeking its first dedicated IT hire to build scalable, secure IT foundations for a distributed team. You will own device management, identity and access, automation, and policy, partnering with HR, Finance and Engineering to scale IT as the company grows.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5+ years in IT, experience with MDM platforms, Google Workspace, SSO/MFA, and scripting. This role offers a flexible schedule with primarily remote work and occasional on-site/offsite needs.

Qualifications

: 3–5+ years in IT support or systems administration, ideally at a startup or SMB.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day IT support across the organization, troubleshooting hardware, software, account, and connectivity issues.
Assess IT and security posture, maintain a 6–12 month IT roadmap, own tooling recommendations and IT budget.
Manage device enrollment, configuration, and policy with MDM.
Administer SSO and MFA; manage 1Password and access reviews.
Automate repetitive tasks using n8n, Google Workspace tooling, and MDM workflows.
Run phishing and security awareness training; enforce IT policies.
Handle incident response as first responder for compromised endpoints or accounts.
Document runbooks, knowledge base, and standard operating procedures.
Onboard/offboard employees and contractors; manage assets and licenses.
Coordinate remote logistics for a distributed team.
Maintain data protection measures and device encryption.
Vendor management and cost optimization.
Assist engineering with secure setup for US and international team members.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations on onboarding timelines and IT budget.
Publish an IT roadmap after initial assessment.
