Job summary

GBQ Partners is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to ensure efficient operation of all IT systems, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services. The role supports the Help Desk, handles software installations, and maintains security across local and cloud environments.

Proven experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, VDI, backups (Veeam), and VOIP is required. The candidate should be comfortable scripting in PowerShell and Power Automate and documenting systems for ongoing

Qualifications

• Combination of education and work experience in the systems administrator, network administrator, and/or technical support positions.
• Proficient with Windows desktop operating systems and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and OneNote).
• Focused experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
• Azure AD/Entra, Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Backup Solutions (Veeam).
• Cloud hosting systems and Dell hardware, Enterprise Monitoring (PRTG), Automation Tools, PowerShell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Primary support for servers (physical & virtual), networking LAN/WAN/WLAN,Storage,OS, Backup and DR systems, Cloud software & systems.
• Provides support to the Help Desk, including helping users with everyday issues.
• Performs software installations and maintenance.
• Maintains security of GBQ's computing environment (local and cloud).
• Troubleshoots and repairs MS & SQL databases.
• Manages the VOIP phone system.
• PowerShell and Power Automate scripting.
• Prepares documentation on all systems.
• Covers general IT support issues as needed.
• Collaborates with IT group to deliver IT solutions.
