Job summary

GVHC is seeking an IT System Administrator II to support, install, configure, operate, and maintain hardware and software across health centers. You will manage servers, storage, virtualization, cloud integration, and security while collaborating with vendors and internal teams to ensure performance and availability.

The role requires strong Windows Server administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and SAN/NAS experience, plus scripting (PowerShell/Python) and ITIL-based project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an Associate degree with 6 years of experience.
• Knowledge of certificates and cloud platforms is preferred; active certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take business or technical requests, assess requirements, design solutions, and develop implementation plans.
• Lead execution of assigned projects from planning through delivery, coordinating with internal IT teams and external departments to provide organizational value.
• Proactively identify risks, roadblocks, and required resources, communicating mitigation strategies.
• Effectively communicate proposals, timelines, and impact to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrate autonomy and accountability to produce effective results.
• Manage the handoff of projects to operations, including all necessary documentation, procedures, and training.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to support all IT systems and initiatives.
• Provide end-user support and guidance as needed.
• Maintain and audit system security, configuration consistency, and compliance with GVHC policies.
