Job summary

GBQ Holdings LLC is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to ensure the efficient operation of all IT systems in alignment with business objectives. You will manage LAN/WAN/WLAN, servers, cloud apps, backups, and security for GBQ’s computing environment, while supporting Help Desk and rolling out new software and hardware.

The role requires proficiency with Windows OS, MS Office, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra, and PowerShell scripting, with some on-call and after-hours responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with Windows desktop operating systems and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and OneNote).
• Focused experience with Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
• Azure AD/Entra and Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure familiarity.
• Backup solutions (Veeam) and cloud hosting systems experience.
• PowerShell scripting and automation exposure.

Responsibilities

• Primary support personnel for various systems & equipment including: Servers (physical & virtual), Networking LAN/WAN/WLAN, Storage, Operating Systems, Backup and DR systems, Cloud Software & Systems.
• Provides support to the Help Desk, including helping users with everyday issues.
• Performs software installations and maintenance.
• Maintains the security of GBQ’s computing environment (local and cloud).
• Troubleshoots and repairs MS & SQL databases.
• Management of the VOIP phone system.
• PowerShell and Power Automate Scripting.
• Prepares documentation on all systems.
• Covers general IT support issues as needed.
• Collaborates with the IT group to stay ahead and be effective with delivering IT solutions to the firm.
• Other duties as assigned.
