Job summary

American Place Casino in Chicagoland is seeking an Information Systems Administrator to support, install, administer, and optimize applications, systems, hardware, software, and services, including Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and information security. This role reports to the IT Systems Engineer and requires off-hours work and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS required.
• Alternatively, 1–3 years of relevant experience acceptable.
• 1–3 years of hands-on network and PC troubleshooting experience.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
• Ability to manage existing infrastructure for 24/7 operation.
• Experience engineering server, storage and shared infrastructure services.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software and networking OSes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT service desk operations including incidents and requests.
• Monitor KPIs to evaluate service desk performance and identify improvements.
• Enforce service desk policies, procedures and SLAs.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure swift incident resolution.
• Troubleshoot and document complex technical issues and customer complaints.
• Collaborate with service providers to maintain service quality and SLAs.
• Provide regular reports and updates to IT management on performance.
