Service Wire Company is seeking an IT Support Technician in Houston, TX to provide primary hardware, software, and network support in a manufacturing environment. You will manage workstations, network devices, and peripheral equipment, and assist staff at multiple levels, including upper management, with IT projects.

The role requires on-site presence, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP protocols and applications.
• Previous experience in Desktop Support, troubleshooting, deployment, and asset management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Willingness and ability to work in an on-call rotation.
• On-Site Position (No Remote work available).

Mansioni

• Provide technical support for hardware and software issues our users encounter.
• Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems (laptops, desktops, and thin clients).
• Maintain inventory overview of hardware and software.
• Develop and present equipment, software, and policy training to staff and end users.
• Maintain documentation of processes, policies, and systems.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades to ensure all systems are up-to-date.
• Test system updates and patches, as well as application rollouts and troubleshoot issues.
• Provide support for user accounts, permissions, and passwords and ensure users can securely access data.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Provide help desk support and specialized technical assistance to system users, escalating issues as necessary.
