Job summary

Gildan Yarns in North Carolina seeks an IT Support Technician to deliver user-focused technical support across six facilities. The role requires maintaining hardware/software to Gildan standards and coordinating with vendors on site.

The candidate should have a degree in IT/IS and at least 3 years of IT experience, with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Up to 50% travel may be required across North Carolina facilities.

Qualifications

• AS or BS degree in IT/IS or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in related IT field.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support to users across the division, including reviewing and completing helpdesk tickets or directing tickets that require a different level or type of support.
• Maintain IT hardware and software systems to ensure Gildan standards are met.
• Maintain hardware inventories and prepare new hardware for deployment as needed.
• Support special projects or initiatives, as needed.
• Provide support to other IT teams by troubleshooting or performing operations on site for maintenance tasks or problem resolution.
• Serve as a point of contact for IT related vendors at the facilities and provide support and supervision of vendors on site.
