Job summary

Gildan is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical support across six NC manufacturing facilities. The role reports to the Sr. Manager, IT Support and will be based in Salisbury, Mocksville, or Sanford with travel to other sites as required.

The ideal candidate holds an IT degree with 3+ years of experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and proficient MS365 usage. This is a full-time position with a 24/7 automated manufacturing environment in mind.

Qualifications

• AS or BS Degree in Information Technology/Information Systems or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in related IT field
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Proficiency in MS365
• Up to 50% travel to NC yarn facilities (day trips, limited overnights)
• Reading, writing, speaking English effectively

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support to users across the division, reviewing and completing helpdesk tickets or redirecting tickets as needed
• Maintain IT hardware and software systems to meet Gildan standards
• Maintain hardware inventories and deploy new hardware
• Support special IT projects or initiatives as needed
• Provide on-site support to other IT teams for maintenance tasks or problem resolution
• Coordinate with IT vendors and supervise on-site vendors as necessary
