Job summary

Gildan in North Carolina seeks an IT Support Technician to provide end-user IT support across six facilities in a 24/7 automated manufacturing environment. The role reports to the Sr. Manager, IT Support and may be based in Salisbury, Mocksville, or Sanford, NC, with regular travel to other sites.

Candidates should have an AS/BS in IT, 3+ years’ experience, strong MS365 skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels. Travel up to 50% and lifting up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• AS or BS Degree in Information Technology/Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in related IT field.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
• Up to 50% travel will be required to support NC facilities.
• Periodically climbing ladders, operating lifts, and carrying up to 50 pounds of equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support to users across the division, including reviewing and completing helpdesk tickets.
• Maintain IT hardware and software systems to ensure Gildan standards are met.
• Maintain hardware inventories and prepare new hardware for deployment as needed.
• Support special projects or initiatives as needed.
• Provide support to other IT teams by troubleshooting on site for maintenance tasks.
• Serve as a point of contact for IT vendors at the facilities and supervise on-site vendors.
