Job summary

Charter Manufacturing Company, Inc. invites you to join its hands-on IT Support Technician Internship in Mequon, Wisconsin. This part-time during the academic year and full-time during the summer offers real-world tech support experience.

You will set up computers, configure handheld scanners and printers, and resolve employee tech issues via our ticketing system, gaining mentorship and professional development. Start date January 2027; year-round program with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a two-year or four-year degree program in Information Technology, MIS, Computer Science, or related field with Sophomore status.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• End-user IT support: software installation, hardware setup and delivery within our ticketing system.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
• Document and improve processes.

About the IT Support Technician Internship :

Gain hands-on experience providing technical support by setting up new computers, configuring handheld scanners and printers, and resolving employee technology issues through our ticketing system.

Program structure:

• Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
• Location: Mequon, WI
• Start Date: January 2027
• Duration: Year-round internship

What we’re looking for:

• Enrollment in a two-year or four-year degree program in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
