Job summary

The Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) in Illinois seeks a Computer Support Technician II to deliver intermediate technical support and assist with software distribution across state facilities. You will install and configure desktop systems, troubleshoot hardware and software, and help users with issues in a dynamic office environment.

Qualifications

Requires 2 years of college with coursework in computer science or related fields.
Requires 1 year of Client Services or related Information Technology experience.
Experience providing enterprise-level computer technical services and support to end users, including troubleshooting.
Experience in diagnosing and resolving Windows or Mac OS issues, including OS duplication.
Experience using deployment tools such as SCCM and MSI for software distribution.

Responsibilities

Provide intermediate level technical support to end users and assist with software deployment.
Configure, test, install, document and maintain desktop/laptop systems and peripherals.
Conduct end-user training and knowledge transfer.
Stay current with IT developments through ongoing education and training.
