Job summary

State of Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a Computer Support Technician II to ensure reliability and functionality of IT equipment and services across agency operations. The role supports communications and productivity within the department and participates in statewide IT initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years in installation, maintenance and support of workstation hardware.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 7 or newer is preferred.
• Professional certifications (CompTIA A+, Net+ or MCDST) may substitute for 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Service Desk queue and resolve tickets; document work and resolutions.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and provide PC and peripheral support; install software upgrades.
• Provide AV and VC support; assist with setting up AV/VC equipment.
• Coordinate hardware replacement projects and memory/OS upgrade tasks.
• Support software applications across Microsoft OS and Office suites.
