Job summary

Florida Department of Transportation, Lake City District, is seeking a Computer Support Technician III. You will troubleshoot, install, configure and support PCs and peripherals, participate in major upgrade projects, and mentor junior staff.

Strong communication and project coordination are essential. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma with multiple pathways to IT excellence; SCCM and Office 365 experience are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree optional depending on experience.
• Experience leading IT projects is preferred as is familiarity with SCCM and Windows 7+ environments.
• Must demonstrate strong customer service and ability to document resolutions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting to identify causes of problems and provide advanced user support.
• Oversee and participate in PC replacement, memory upgrades and OS upgrade projects.
• Provide training and mentoring to other technicians; deliver Tier III support as needed.
• Manage service desk tickets, ensure SLAs are met, and document resolutions.
