Job summary

Florida Department of Transportation is seeking a Computer Support Technician I to maintain IT equipment and support agency operations, enabling efficient communication and productivity across the Department.

The role includes monitoring the Service Desk, installing and configuring PCs, providing AV/VC support, and coordinating service calls and repairs to meet SLAs. A high school diploma with IT-related experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 1 year of work experience in installation, maintenance and technical support of workstation hardware.
• 1 year of experience providing customer service and technical support with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 7 or above operating systems.
• Technical certifications from workstation training programs such as CompTIA A+ and Net+ may substitute for 6 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors Service Desk queue and resolves support tickets as assigned.
• Documents work performed and resolution(s).
• Identify, analyze and resolve problems using troubleshooting tools and teamwork.
• Provides high level of customer service with status updates to the customer.
