Job summary

Sims Crane & Equipment is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician in Tampa, FL to provide day-to-day technical support for desktop applications, hardware, and networking devices. The role includes setting up computers, tablets, and iPhones, and ensuring timely ticket resolution.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree in IT or related field, 1–3 years of IT support experience, and familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows, Active Directory, and VoIP basics. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of IT support experience applicable to desktop and network issues.
• Associate degree in IT or equivalent diploma is required or preferred.
• Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco Meraki or CompTIA are encouraged.
• Experience with Windows 10/11, Server OS and MS 365 is expected.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and VoIP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and resolve IT work orders and service requests in a timely manner.
• Provide desktop, software, and hardware support for staff on Office apps and devices.
• Configure new computers and mobile devices and set up user accounts.
• Document resolutions and update ticket statuses for reporting.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to troubleshoot issues.

Education

Associate Degree in Information Technology and Information Systems

High School Diploma

1-3 years IT support experience

Certifications: Microsoft, Cisco Meraki, CompTIA (preferred)
