Job summary

Nova Southwestern University in Fort Lauderdale seeks an IT Support Technician to provide accurate, timely technical support to students, faculty, and staff via telephone, chat, email, remote and desk-side assistance. You will manage routine support tasks and equipment maintenance across university facilities.

Responsibilities include advanced hardware/software support for desktops, laptops, AV systems, servers, and videoconferencing, plus ticketing and equipment relocation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer and audiovisual systems, Active Directory, and network.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications.
• Ability to install and configure hardware and software.
• Experience with advanced troubleshooting of AV, computers, and networks.
• Florida driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain hardware systems for students, faculty, and staff.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues remotely and on-site.
• Provide advanced support for desktops, laptops, devices, servers, videoconferencing, LANs/WANs.
• Create, log and resolve technology tickets in the ticketing system.
• Coordinate relocation and disposal of technology equipment.
