Job summary

Nova Southern University in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an IT Support Technician to deliver accurate technical assistance to students, faculty and staff via telephone, chat, email, remotely and at desk side.

Under limited supervision, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software for desktops, laptops, wireless and cellular devices, and AV systems across campus facilities, labs and clinics, ensuring timely resolutions and high service levels.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge in the safe use of various tools utilized for technical troubleshooting, repair and support including software and hand-tools.
• Working knowledge of computer and audiovisual systems, Active Directory, and network.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains hardware systems for students, faculty, and staff.
• Performs advanced repairs and troubleshooting of technology issues.
• Supports installation and maintenance of hardware and software for desktops, laptops, and devices.
• Resolves issues for students, faculty, and staff with hardware and software problems.
• Logs and updates technology tickets in the ticketing system.
• Coordinates relocation of computers and equipment within university facilities.
