Job summary

City of Florida City is seeking an IT Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical support for desktop, mobile, software, and network issues. The role focuses on end-user support, routine troubleshooting, and following established IT procedures.

Under the IT Director, you will help maintain Microsoft 365, VoIP, and endpoint security, while assisting with onboarding, ticketing, and asset management in a municipal setting.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree in IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of IT tech support or help desk experience preferred.
• Municipal/government experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides Tier 1 support for desktop, mobile, software, and network issues.
• Maintains and supports modern IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365 and VoIP systems.
• Coordinates hardware/software troubleshooting and escalations with internal teams and vendors.
• Creates, manages, and audits user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other apps.
• Assists in onboarding/offboarding, including account setup and equipment distribution.
• Documents procedures, incidents, knowledge base articles, and configurations.
• Participates in patch management, system updates, and software deployment.
• Assists with disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
