Job summary

OHM Advisors is hiring an IT Support Technician in Michigan to ensure continuity of computer systems for our 800+ professionals across multiple states. You will install software, repair hardware, and resolve technical issues while supporting deployments and onboarding.

Responsibilities include handling service desk requests, configuring devices, maintaining asset records, and providing end-user training. Occasional on-site and after-hours support may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of IT support experience or current enrollment in IT degree program
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and mobile devices
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 10/11 & Microsoft Office 365
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills

Responsibilities

• Handle end-user support requests via ticketing system, email, phone, and in person in a timely, courteous manner
• Troubleshoot, install, and upgrade end-user software and hardware
• Provide one-on-one end-user training on relevant topics and systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot file sharing systems for use with external users and organizations
• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding within scope of duties
• Image, configure, and set up desktop and laptop computers and peripherals
• Coordinate shipping and reclamation of computer hardware to/from remote offices
• Maintain proper documentation and storage of hardware assets
• Maintain user-focused informational articles and team knowledge bases
• Provide guidance and training to IT team members; assist with software rollouts and upgrades
• Provide on-site support at remote offices and outside regular hours as required
