Job summary

City of Bartow is seeking a responsible IT support specialist to maintain and upgrade desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and related software. You will handle helpdesk requests, image systems, and assist with enterprise security and license tracking, supporting a mobile workforce.

Qualifications include 2 years in technical computer support, an associate degree or equivalent, and a valid Florida driver’s license. Some travel between City facilities may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Answer helpdesk calls and enter work orders for hardware and software issues.
• Monitor, repair, and maintain City desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, and related equipment.
• Configure, image, and replace computers using standard deployment methods.
• Assist network and system administrators to resolve IT problems.
• Support mobile workforce with wireless devices and Wi‑Fi upgrades.
• Manage Active Directory user/computer accounts.
• Maintain software licenses and enterprise security configurations.
