Job summary

Sumitomo Electric U.S.A. Holdings, Inc. (SEUHO) in San Marcos, CA is seeking a full-time IT Technician to provide support on IT-related tasks as part of the SEUHO-IS helpdesk.

This role reports to the IT Supervisor, handles hardware/software issues, and assists in IT projects and training materials development.

Ideal candidate holds a BS in CS/IT or related field and demonstrates attention to detail, multitasking ability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from users and business partners.
• Organizational and time management skills sufficient to independently establish priorities and coordinate and complete competing projects within set timeframes.
• Work well independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in resolving hardware/software issues for end users
• Work on IT projects as directed by management
• Assist in technical upgrading and maintaining desktop systems
• Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage
• Install hardware (computers, monitors, servers, UPS, routers, switches, etc.)
• Manage all equipment and perform periodic inventories as required
• Troubleshoot mobile devices, configure new devices
• Install and configure computer systems, phones, and applications within the company

Education

BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
