Job summary

Sumitomo Electric U.S.A. Holdings, Inc. is seeking a full-time IT Technician at our Mt. Prospect, IL location to provide support on IT-related tasks and join the SEUHO‑IS helpdesk. You will report to the IT Supervisor and assist the team with desktop, network, and device setups.

The role involves resolving hardware/software issues, working on IT projects, and creating training materials for troubleshooting and usage. Room for growth exists in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from users and business partners.
• Organizational and time management skills sufficient to independently establish priorities and coordinate and complete competing projects within set timeframes.
• Work well independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in resolving hardware/software issues for end users.
• Work on IT projects as directed by management.
• Assist in technical upgrading and maintaining desktop systems.
• Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
• Install hardware (computers, monitors, servers, UPS, routers, switches, etc.).
• Manage all equipment and perform periodic inventories as required.
• Troubleshoot mobile devices, configure new devices.
• Install and configure computer systems, phones, and applications within the company.
