Job summary

Hamilton County Government seeks a Microcomputer Specialist to deploy and maintain PC hardware/software in a networked environment and provide onsite and phone support to users. You will handle basic security concepts, file sharing, and password maintenance, while assisting with security remediation using authorized tools.

The role requires hands-on lifecycle support from deployment through retirement, documenting hardware/software inventory and collaborating with Systems and Networking staff.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in CIS or CS with 1 year related experience; valid driver's license.
• Alternatively an Associate's in CIS or CS with 3 years related experience; valid driver's license.
• Or high school diploma equivalent with 5 years related experience; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Deploys and maintains PC hardware, software, and peripherals in a network environment.
• Provides onsite and phone support to users; assists with Help Desk coverage.
• Performs security maintenance and basic network troubleshooting.
• Maintains accurate inventory records of hardware and software; supports end users.
