Job summary

Alamance Community College seeks an IT Support Specialist 1 to provide entry-level technical support for the college’s IT team, assisting students, faculty, and staff with frontline troubleshooting and basic tasks under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree preferred) and familiarity with Microsoft 365. Responsibilities include end-user support, ticket handling, and documentation; some evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred in CS/IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier 1 end-user support for students, faculty, and staff.
• Resolve service desk tickets and basic hardware/software issues.
• Assist infrastructure with endpoint tasks and Windows Autopilot deployment.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Provide basic tech orientation and A/V support as needed.
