Job summary

Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) is seeking a Technology Support Specialist to provide first-level IT support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, AV and phone systems, and assist with on-campus events. You will maintain equipment, update records, and help ensure secure, well-documented IT operations across campus.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with three years of professional desktop support experience; an Associate's Degree or technology certifications are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and three years of professional experience with desktop user support or technical support for equipment, networks, systems, telecommunications, or technology security.
• There is no substitution or equivalency for the High School Diploma or GED.
• Associate's Degree and/or Technology Certification(s).
• One year of IT maintenance, installation and support.
• One year of experience in Pro AV maintenance, installation and support.
• One year of experience in live events production and support.
• One year of full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years.

Responsibilities

• Provides first-level IT support and responds to support requests or helpdesk tickets for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, audiovisual and/or phone systems, along with on campus events.
• Maintains, installs, removes, configures, troubleshoots, and repairs computers and related devices and supports on campus events.
• Prepares or retrieves information and enters/updates information in reports, logs, or other documentation/record-keeping systems.
• Maintains system inventory, documentation, storage, and security of equipment; orders parts as required.
• May give work direction to student lab assistants.
• Other duties as assigned.
