Job summary

City of Bartow, FL is seeking a proactive IT Support Technician to maintain and upgrade the City’s desktops, laptops, tablets, phones, printers, and related software. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues under supervision and assist with Active Directory accounts.

Responsibilities include handling helpdesk requests, imaging devices, maintaining security, tracking software licenses, and supporting a mobile workforce.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in technical computer support.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred; FDLE background check required.

Responsibilities

• Answer helpdesk calls, enter work orders, and ensure timely resolution for hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Monitor, maintain, and repair City computers, laptops, desks, tablets, smartphones, copiers, printers, and related equipment.
• Configure, image, and replace computers and laptops using standard deployment methods.
• Receive and document work orders, ensuring timely completion.
• Assist with enterprise security modifications and documentation and monitor malware/virus issues.
