Job summary

The United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois is seeking a qualified IT Support Specialist to provide help desk support, maintain systems, and assist in deploying Windows images and AV equipment. The role centers on supporting Microsoft 365, VPN, antivirus, and remote tools, with opportunities to contribute to system improvements and end-user training. East St.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or related field, or relevant certifications.
Minimum of four years IT experience preferred; two years advanced experience for CL 28.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, security, imaging, deployment, and remote work support.

Responsibilities

Provide onsite, in person, and remote help desk support for IT equipment, systems, and users.
Monitor and maintain day-to-day IT operations and system reliability.
Support Microsoft 365, VPN connectivity, antivirus software, and remote support tools.
Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware/software.
Create and deploy Windows desktop images.
Assist security with remediation after scans.
Maintain documentation for user guides, systems, and applications.
