Job summary

The City of Osage Beach is seeking an IT Support Specialist to maintain and enhance the City’s technology environment. You will provide intermediate technical assistance, support system administration tasks, and help ensure security and reliability across end-user and departmental systems.

Primary duties include device lifecycle management, network support, security policy enforcement, and user training. Strong customer service and documentation skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience applying IT fundamentals to hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues methodically.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and endpoint security basics.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical resource for initial support issues and advanced troubleshooting.
• Assist in installation, configuration, and lifecycle maintenance of city devices.
• Support administration and maintenance of City networks and security tools.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalate when needed.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and lifecycle management.
• Implement and enforce IT security policies and awareness training.
• Provide user training and document systems, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate on technology projects and process improvements.
