Job summary

City of Red Oak seeks an Information Technology Technician under the IT Director to deliver technical support for the City’s computer systems, devices, software, and AV equipment. The role installs, configures, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs desktops, laptops, MDTs, mobile devices, printers, telephones, and related technology.

You will assist with cybersecurity, backups, documentation, and daily IT operations while providing responsive help desk support and coordinating with vendors as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in IT, CS, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of progressive technical support experience.
• Municipal/public safety or government IT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides timely help desk and technical support to City employees through various channels.
• Installs, configures, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs City computers, MDTs, mobile devices, printers, and AV equipment.
• Supports standard City software, OS, drivers, and peripherals.
• Assists with cybersecurity, backups, documentation, and asset management.
• Administers user accounts and access for domain, email, 365, and City apps.
• Supports meeting room technology and provides AV support for meetings and events.
