Job summary

Gal Manufacturing, a Vantage Elevation Company, is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join Elevator Controls in Sacramento, CA. The role will support all North American locations, handling workstations, phones, printers, and other peripherals with a focus on customer service and documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a Associate degree in IT or CS and 3–5 years in IT support, with strong Windows, AD, RDS, imaging, and networking skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• 3–5 years IT support or help desk experience.
• Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Active Directory and Windows Server.
• Knowledge of RDS/Terminal Services.
• Imaging, deployment, and workstation config.
• Networking basics: DHCP/DNS.
• VoIP systems experience.
• Endpoint security and antivirus management.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and SLAs.
• PHP and SQL database skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve support requests per SLAs.
• Provide L1–L3 IT support across North America locations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, printers, phones, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobiles, and peripherals.
• Onboard new users; procure equipment and set up accounts.
• Offboard users; recover equipment and transition data.
• Create/deploy workstation images with approved tools.
• Maintain Active Directory accounts/permissions.
• Keep devices updated with OS patches and security.
• Administer print servers and queues.
• Maintain inventory records for devices/assets.
• Document, track, and update tickets in the help desk system.
• Communicate status/resolution to users.
• Escalate unresolved issues as needed.
• Support VoIP/telecom systems.
• Contribute to IT process documentation and improvement.
