Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support for employees, desktops, laptops, printers, and network infrastructure in a manufacturing setting.

You will install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, handle user accounts, imaging, VoIP phones, antivirus, and software, while delivering timely resolutions as part of a large deployment team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of IT experience.
• 1–2 years experience in a Windows/ChromeOS environment.
• Experience with MS Office products.
• AD Users and Computers administration.
• MS Security Administration.
• Basic networking knowledge (Cabling, switches).
• Disk-imaging products.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the Desktop environment in a manufacturing setting.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop and laptop systems, printers and peripherals.
• Maintain passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment.
• Communicate technical information to technical and nontechnical staff.
• Recommend hardware and software solutions and upgrades.
• Create user accounts and image PCs/laptops.
• Provide desktop phone support in a VoIP environment and mobile device support.
• Resolve antivirus/anti-spam issues on user machines.
• Work with customer systems to resolve network-related issues.
• Provide help desk support and resolve user issues with desktop apps and peripherals.
• Install and maintain application and desktop software products.
• Support label printers and barcode scanners in manufacturing.
• Participate in IT projects and user training when needed.
