Job summary

AWARE is seeking an Information Technology Support Specialist to assist staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripherals, and software within established standards.

Responsibilities include working with vendor support, managing the IT Help Desk, ensuring seamless interconnection with servers and systems, and training staff on hardware and software usage. The role also covers security camera and access control systems and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Well documented work-related history noting IT knowledge and experience.
• Valid Montana Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
• Knowledge of IT and computer science concepts and hardware, software and applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within Microsoft 365 environment.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists staff with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktops, peripherals and software.
• Work with vendor support contacts to resolve problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
• Assist in the IT Help Desk to determine and resolve staff issues.
• Interact with multiple computer platforms and ensure interconnection with servers and administrative systems.
• Train staff on hardware and software usage and maintain inventory of hardware and software.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain security camera and access control systems.
• Recommend and perform system upgrades to ensure longevity.
• Maintain and update company contacts; assist procurement and inventory tasks.
• Prepare equipment for delivery and support fieldwork as requested.
