Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide internal employee technical assistance for company hardware, software, and systems. The role includes troubleshooting, account management, ticket handling, and remote support to ensure optimal performance across the corporate network.

You will diagnose and repair devices, administer AD/Office 365, and coordinate with network services while maintaining a high level of customer service and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Advanced computer/software troubleshooting and Windows operating system experience.
• Advanced experience with Active Directory, Office 365 administration, Office 365 apps, Windows 10/11.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, servers, and hardware.
• PowerShell syntax and commands preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred
• Minimum of 3+ years relevant support experience
• Customer service oriented and possesses good oral and written communications skills.
• Strong ability to work effectively with various levels of an organization.
• Strong listening skills to fully understand end user needs and requests.
• Ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for company’s computer environment and corporate network, including hardware, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business apps and peripheral devices.
• Utilize IT ticketing system to respond to requests for technical assistance and log all IT support interactions.
• Open/close service requests; classify, assign, track, and complete requests.
• Provide support and maintenance for in-house computer systems, including diagnosis, upgrades, repairs, maintenance, and installation of equipment.
• Offer outstanding customer support and communicate per procedures with network users, including remote users.
• Develop positive relationships and trust by a professional, welcoming approach to customers’ problems.
• Perform administrative duties, including scheduling equipment and arranging shipments to remote sites.
• Interact with network services.
