Job summary

Momentive is seeking an IT support intern in West Virginia to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. You will assist with desktop, laptop, mobile, and printer support, and help with digital workplace technologies.

The program requires active enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, and availability for 40 hours per week over 10–12 weeks between May and August. You will collaborate with IT specialists and site leadership to deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in IT or a related field.
• Interest in IT support, networking, systems administration, or digital workplace technologies.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking concepts, and Microsoft technologies.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication; able to work with technical and non-technical users.
• Willingness to travel across site locations and work in an industrial environment.
• Ability to lift and configure basic IT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other workplace technologies.
• Support IT projects and technology initiatives to improve productivity and user experience.
• Collaborate with IT specialists, stakeholders, and site leadership to implement solutions.
• Coordinate hardware deployments, workstation setups, software installations, and upgrades.
• Participate in network, infrastructure, and digital workplace support across sites.
• Monitor and escalate technical issues; track progress through resolution.
• Help maintain IT documentation, processes, and compliance requirements.
• Support meeting tech, collaboration tools and executive user requests as needed.
• Research emerging technologies and contribute ideas for IT service improvements.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within IT.
• Build strong relationships with end users and deliver responsive, customer-focused support.
